About Us
School Principle – Jean-Pierre Le Tissier
J-P has been teaching sailing courses since 1992, when he ‘cut his teeth’ with the best seamanship school in the UK at the time – Southern Sailing in Southampton.
Since those heady days of driving boats that had more water inside than out and where the culinary highlight of the week was chilli con carne out of a tin from Asda, the boats have improved along with the food though the emphasis on seamanship skills profoundly still remains his main focus.
J-P is an RYA Yachtmaster Examiner & Instructor for Sail and Motor Cruiser, RYA Advanced Powerboat Instructor & Examiner, RYA Personal Watercraft Instructor, RYA Shorebased Instructor and RYA SRC / VHF radio instructor.
He is also Chief Instructor of Vitesse Training at Puerto Portals in Mallorca where he runs courses on motor cruisers from 30 – 85ft.
J-P lives at Brooklands with his wife Fee and two Labradors Grace & Zoe.
